- Hmm I have wondered that about the GVP Ram , I have a GVP Combo
- 68030-40Mhz 68882-40Mhz there is 4 Megs attached (chips) ti the Combo and then
- there is a 4 Meg SIMM in one of the sockets.
-
- My Question is SYSINFO reports it as 24Bit DMA Ram ? Does this sound right?
-
- I have went from a CSA Derringer that ran at 25Mhz, but had for sure
- 32Bit that made its own memory address when the software was run.
-
- I like the GVP, but what has bugged me is my HD Controller (DataFlyer)
- Ram Card with 4 Megs (DataFlyer) had to be removed cause of memory conflicts-
- The GVP mounts its onboard memory in the normal range of the A2000, since the
- GVP has 8 Megs it basically told the DataFlyer to take a hike. Now my question
- if the A2000 can only address up to 9 Megs of ram
- why would the GVP have two more SIMM slots ? Or since its an 68030 can it
- address more memory ?
